A small place for breakfast. Specialty is soya drinks and Northern Chinese breakfast items.
Different from Southern Chinese breakfast which is mostly like dim sum, Northern people drink soya milk and have churro, of course Chinese version, as their breakfast.
This place is always packed on weekends. People come to C&T shopping grocery and have a traditional breakfast. Their dishes remind me of the street foods that everyone can grab one as breakfast while on their way to work or school.
The price is inexpensive. Normally we two spend less than 20$ to be very full. It used to be cash only. -

I admit, I stumbled here by accident because the place I wanted to go (Pho MC) was closed for the holidays. Seeing a steady stream of people walking in and out here, I decided to give this place a try.
La Maison de Soya (soy house) serves more than soy products. They have other items such as bubble tea, boiled dumplings, fried dumplings, and pork buns.
I had a bowl of soy milk and shared some boiled, fried dumplings, and had a pork bun. Their soy milk was quite good, however their boiled dumplings were meh. Fried dumplings were better though. Their pork buns were probably my favourite out of everything I ordered, surprisingly good ratio of meat and bun.
This place is counter service. Don't expect much more beyond that. However there's definitely great value to be had if you eat here. -

This is a great place to get a hot soya drink and you tiao (Chinese churro) for breakfast. Last Sunday, we found $5 jianbing guozi (a salty crepe with egg, you tiao and scallions) which are great with a salty soft tofu soup. It is super filling and not expensive. We usually come here to buy frozen baozi (steamed meat buns). They have a really tender filling, which I love, but they are really salty, so we try to limit ourselves. This place would definitely offer an authentic Chinese breakfast experience!
